BATH — The children at InfoKids Early Learning Childcare Center, InfoCision Management Corp.’s on-site childcare facility for employees, collected warm winter clothing to donate to the Haven of Rest, and on Dec. 16 the collection was picked up by Donor Relations Coordinator Mike Solosky.

“There is a great need for warm clothing among the needy in our community,” said Solosky. “The clothing we provide is free for those who need it, and we have people from many different backgrounds coming in, whether they need clothes for themselves or their children. We are very thankful that InfoCision’s InfoKids are helping us to further this mission.”

InfoKids’ Director Angela Collier decided to get involved with the Haven of Rest after touring the facility and witnessing firsthand the long line of people waiting to take some of the relatively small amount of clothing available, according to company officials.

“I was very happy to hear the Haven of Rest gave out clothing, but I was struck by how little of it was available because it is all given away so quickly when they receive it,” said Collier. “We have more clothing on the tiny Christmas tree we decorated with hats and mittens at InfoKids than they had at the Haven of Rest the day I visited. When I saw that need, I knew we could help out and make a difference to a lot of people right here in our hometown.

“The children really do enjoy it, and most that are 3 years old or more can understand that our goal is to help less fortunate people,” continued Collier. “Instilling those values in the children at an early age is very important, especially around Christmastime so they associate it as a time of giving and not just receiving.”
