CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Falls resident Alex Aleman and his doubles tennis partner Pete Carpenter, of Pennsylvania, won the second round consolation draw at the $30,000 Men’s Doubles Invitational that took place July 25-28 at the Cleveland Racquet Club.

Shown at right, from left, are Aleman and Carpenter, a senior at Duquesne University.

According to Towpath Tennis Center officials, Aleman, a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) in 2011, is a junior at Duquesne. While at CVCA, Aleman was a four-time state qualifier, where he won the state doubles title in his sophomore and senior years. During the offseason, Aleman trains at Towpath Tennis Center.
